Thursday Feb 6- 5pm-7pm - Intro to Fused Glass with Daylight Glassworks - Make Your Own Valentine!
During this 2-hour beginner class you will learn all the basics of fused glass while creating your own Valentine! Heart shapes will be pre-cut and you will be provided a variety of glass components such as frit, stringers, confetti and glass paint to decorate your ornaments. We will go over the different materials and multiple techniques so you can create a truly one-of-a-kind fused glass piece.
After class the pieces will be fired in our kiln so all the glass elements can melt together. Your finished piece will be ready for pickup within one week of the class date. Shipping can be arranged for an additional fee if you are unable to pick up your finished piece.
Each class is limited to six students so everyone gets plenty of personalized instruction and assistance. We have allotted two hours for this class but everyone works at a different pace so you may end up finishing sooner.
-Please wear comfortable closed toe shoes to class.
-Safety glasses will be provided, but please bring your own if you have some.
Safety/Liability: Minimum age requirement is 16 years old. Minors will only be permitted if a parent or guardian also registers for the same class. Sharp glass and tools will be used and proper handling techniques will be discussed upon arrival.
